Mommy Giveaway!
I am all about giveaways right now! Any chance at winning something for free with little effort is right up my alley! :) lol So for any new mommies out there or mommies to be here is a cute little giveaway happening over at Lesley Graham’s blog. Check it out!
Moving In
The first piece of furniture is officially in the apartment for baby Lorelei:) It is so surreal yet so charming at the same time! I can’t stop staring at it. David and I both keep trying to picture an actual baby in there and it makes me feel like a little kid again just playing house:) lol Then I am struck with reality and the thought, “boy are we in for a treat!” lol. I couldn’t be more excited!
We officially have 10 more weeks until this precious girl is expected to enter into our world. We have been preparing in more ways than just bringing furniture in. We have been praying that God would prepare us to be the parents that He wants us to be and the parents that Lorelei needs us to be. We are going to be responsible for a life. AN ACTUAL HUMAN BEING! The questions never stop racing in my mind. Can I do this? What things am I going to fail at as a mother? Will she like me? Will I fail my family? Does God really trust ME to be responsible for such a precious life? YES! :) I may not do all of the right things as a parent and David and I will make mistakes along the way; every parent does, but God has blessed us with this awesome opportunity and I know with His strength we can do anything. He wouldn’t have given Lorelei to us if He didn’t think we could do it. That in itself excites me! I am so excited to raise a child of God and teach her to love Christ and others.
As we bring in more furniture and clothes and all of the essentials needed for this baby we get that much closer to the opportunity to experience one of God’s great gifts, parenthood! :) Thank you Lord for this great gift, I promise to do the best that I know how.
Love,
Kay
